Seiji Igei (they/he) is a queer and Okinawan-Japanese American artist currently based in Anishinaabe land (Chicago, IL). With a background in animation, Seiji takes inspiration from Asian pop culture along with American queer culture into their work. He has previously studied abroad in Kin Town, Okinawa and hopes to continue his exploration of Okinawan and Okinawan-American culture and identity through creative storytelling.
